Hi there! Thanks for choosing Status Saver Pro. I built this app to give you a smooth, feature-rich experience for saving statuses, sending direct messages, and generating stylish text. Your privacy is a top priority for me.
This policy explains exactly what happens to your data when you use the app. Spoiler alert: Your private data stays private. We do not secretly collect or steal your personal information.
Because the app is free, it uses some third-party services (like Google AdMob and Firebase) to show ads and catch crashes. This policy covers how those services work within the app.
2. What Information Do We Collect?
Let's clear the air right away: we do not want, nor do we collect, your personal chats or contacts.
2.1 Data We NEVER Collect
- Your name or email address.
- Your phone number is not stored or permanently collected by us. It is only processed temporarily on your device when you use the Direct Message feature.
- Your WhatsApp login details or account information.
- Your contacts, private chats, or personal media.
- Biometric Data: If you use the App Lock feature, your fingerprint or face scan is processed securely by your phone's own operating system. It never leaves your device.
2.2 Data Collected Automatically (By Google SDKs)
To keep the app running smoothly and to display ads, we use Google's trusted tools (Firebase & AdMob). They automatically collect some non-personal background data, such as:
- Device Information: Your phone model, Android version, and Advertising IDs (to show relevant ads).
- App Activity: Basic stats like how long the app is used or which features are popular.
- Crash Logs: If the app crashes, Firebase sends an anonymous error report so I can fix the bug in the next update.
2.3 Data You Process Locally
- Direct Message: When you enter a phone number to send a direct WhatsApp message, the app simply passes that number to your official WhatsApp. We do not save that number on any server.
- This phone number is processed temporarily on your device and may be shared with third-party apps (such as WhatsApp) only to enable the direct chat feature. We do not store or save this information.
- Fancy Text: The text you type to generate stylish fonts is processed instantly on your phone.
3. How We Use This Information
The technical data collected by our third-party tools is used strictly to:
- Make sure the app works perfectly on your specific device.
- Find and fix bugs quickly (using Crashlytics).
- Serve appropriate advertisements to support the app's development.
4. Security & Where Your Data Lives
Everything happens on your device. Your saved videos and images are stored in your phone's local gallery. I do not have a server or database that stores your statuses.
- Encryption in Transit: Any technical data sent to Google (like crash reports or ad requests) is encrypted securely over the internet (HTTPS).
- Local Processing: Core features like status saving and App Lock run entirely offline.
5. Why We Ask For Storage Permissions
To do its job, the app needs permission to view and save files. Here is exactly why we need it:
For Android 11 and Above (Scoped Storage)
We use Android's safest method called the Storage Access Framework (SAF). We will ask you to grant access only to the specific WhatsApp `.Statuses` folder. We cannot access your private camera roll, documents, or other folders. We only read the statuses you explicitly allow us to see.
For Android 10 and Below
- Read Storage: To find and display the statuses currently loaded on your device.
- Write Storage: To save the statuses you want to keep permanently into a dedicated folder in your gallery.

Status Saver Pro is not built for, nor directed at, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
8. Your Rights & Choices
You are always in control of your experience:
- Uninstalling: You can delete the app anytime. Doing so removes all app data (though files you explicitly saved to your gallery will remain yours to keep).
- Ad Preferences: You can opt out of personalized ads directly from your phone's settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).
- App Lock: You can disable the biometric lock anytime from within the app settings.
